Advantech Launches Touch Panel Computer with External Hard Drive Kit

Oct. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group announces the release of the TPC-1750H, a 17” Touch Panel Computer (TPC) with Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz Processor designed to operate in temperatures between 0°C~45°C.

To further enhance this model plus the already existing 12” TPC-1250H and 15” TPC-1550H, Advantech has launched a matching external 2.5” hard drive kit which is easily attached to the rear of the panel PC’s and increase their storage capacity.  Also, mounting solution accessory kits are available or VESA and stand mounts.

These Energy Star compliant TPCs are equipped with 2 x GbE network ports, 2 x RS-232 ports, 2 x USB ports, CFast slot for storage and have added protection against dust by the use of a gasket between the touch screen and the metal bezel.

Since these TPCs use standard PC architecture, they are able to support Windows 7, Windows XP embedded, WinCE, and Fedora Linux, making them a perfect TPC solution for any industrial environment and are especially suitable for factory automation tasks.
