Sept. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- CATM and Blanc de Chine proudly present Yasuto Sasada's latest creative exploration.

In joint philosophy, artist Yasuto Sasada and fashion mogul Blanc de Chine create a true juncture between the worlds of fine art and fashion. For a limited engagement, Sasada's latest works on paper will be juxtaposed to Blanc de Chine's latest fall/winter collection. This collaboration marks the comparative analysis of both finely detailed mediums.

Sasada has always reflected on his own existence as a struggle to not fade into the shades of gray; as he tries to punctuate his life through bold strokes of black. His desperation to maintain a defined existence produces an unnatural drive to strive forward with the fear of obscurity chasing at his heels. His need to reinvigorate and reinvent results in a genesis of creativity.

Sasada approaches his work with passionate tenacity. Always in opposition to cultural expectations, Sasada has fought long, quiet battles successfully within the restrictive Japanese society. Through incredible mastering of his talent and skill as draftsman, Sasada has become Japan's Phoenix. His drive to aggressively pull Japan's storied past into contemporary settings, has resulted in a stealth revolution to reignite its youth. Sasada brings his concerns for our rapidly advancing technological quagmires and their effect on both society and the natural world to the forefront of discussion with his latest installation at Blanc de Chine, whose own philosophy is a stronghold on maintaining true classical virtue in a world overwrought with mass production.

In his latest work, Sasada chooses the horseshoe crab, a symbol of nature's unwavering perfection, to address issues of survival, persistence and adaptation. He sees the marvel of it's evolutionary success as its main structure has gone relatively unchanged for millennia. In this exploration Sasada contemplates the minutely evolving infrastructure that is in constant flux, always adapting to the nuances of it's environment while maintaining its rudimentary core. He then draws comparison to the missteps being taken by a society unsure of how to manage it's own growth.

Through the use of hundreds of .3mm pens and a drive unmatched, Sasada builds through his imagination visuals that heighten the senses until new dimensions are realized.

Sasada takes his identity and reduces its constituency to the bareness of living in an effort to reveal our own essence. Along the way he roots out our commonality with the hope of benefiting a future generation of tolerance.

As he foreshadows both present and future, Sasada presents the underlying importance of global familiarity in the 21st C.

Yasuto Sasada will be present for a private reception at Blanc de Chine, 673 Fifth Avenue on Thursday, September 20th, from 6-9pm.  Sasada's work will be on display to the public at Blanc de Chine from Wednesday, September 19 through Friday September 21.
