Follow on Google News | The BizWorld Foundation Partners with Informatica to Host Camp BizWorldThe BizWorld Foundation, a national non-profit organization dedicated to teaching entrepreneurship, business and finance to elementary school children, will host a camp supported by employee volunteers at the offices of Informatica Corporation.
“BizWorld Camps are a unique opportunity to endow students with critical real-world skill sets, and also represent the first exposure many young participants will have to a corporate environment. The Camp experience is profoundly inspiring, and has the power to positively shape many students’ future academic and career choices,” states Harry Gould, BizWorld Chairman and senior vice president, Worldwide Alliances, Informatica Corporation. The children assume the roles of presidents and vice presidents as they take part in the full entrepreneurial cycle, understanding elements of marketing, manufacturing, finance, production and sales. Participants develop important 21st century skills in the process, nurturing critical thinking and leadership capabilities. Each team gains valuable real-world experience as their student companies cultivate business strategies, and ultimately create a classroom-sized micro economy.
