Sunlite Broadcasting Network partners with Austin Lodge (Vasa Order of America) to launch new online video Portal, The Scandinavian American Television Network

The Vasa Order of America is one of the nation’s oldest Swedish Fraternal organizations.  Austin lodge was incorporated in 1922.

Even though the days of major Scandinavian immigration are long over, there are millions of Americans of Scandinavian descent. Many of these descendants of the original immigrants regularly celebrate their history and culture.



With the increasing popularity of Web Videos, (4 billion seen this year alone on desktops, laptops, iPhones , tablets, and smart phones), Sunlite, a pioneer in internet radio and video since 1997, proposed to Austin Lodge that they establish a web portal to promote Scandinavian Culture and history.

The new video portal features a treasure trove of Scandinavian related content  including music videos, historical features, news, and other content focusing on Scandinavian culture.

Sunlite President, Allan Winters says “we plan to eventually have a very large number of different short form and longer videos online in the next two years.” He also noted that currently there is no other enterprise such as this in the United States today and it is another pioneering effort by the Company
