Shaffer’s BBQ Palace Rolls the Finest BBQ from Shenandoah Valley into the Washington, DC area

Aug. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Arlington, VA – Shaffer’s BBQ & Catering, a landmark, “foodie” destination, in the Shenandoah Valley since 1952, is bringing its award-winning recipes to the DC area.

Owned and operated by Matt and Julie Shaffer, the BBQ PALACE – a full-service food truck - offers slow-smoked BBQ Pork, Beef, Chicken and Ribs with homemade sauces and rubs.

Focusing first on the local Arlington, VA area, the BBQ PALACE will be at the following locations through Fall, 2012:

   Every Saturday beginning September 8 thru November 24
   10:30 a.m. - - 2:00 p.m.

   Columbia Pike Farmers’ Market
   Corner of S. Walter Reed Dr., Arlington, VA
   Every other Sunday beginning September 16
   9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Why Shaffer’s BBQ?  As owner and grandson of the founding Pitmaster, Matt says that “Having grown up in the family business, I've always enjoyed the camaraderie and community spirit generated by cooking BBQ. After 10 years of flying helicopters in the Navy, my wife Julie and I settled in the area and look forward to sharing these same experiences with our new community.”
