A unique aspect about the workshop is that it complements latest theories and concepts developed on the subject from around the world, with real-life examples from this region; further embedding these with concepts that draw on the region’s most regarded historical teachings on the subjects. Commenting on the Convention and the Workshop, Mrs. Maha Hussein Chairperson HR Committee, GPCA and President & CEO, PIC said “The convention serves as a platform to engage C-level and Human Resource management professionals on relevant topics at multiple levels to discuss all key concerns including the impact of the recent global recovery on the industry, as well the strategies that can be adopted to ensure a responsive sustainability of leadership and organizational capabilities. About GPCA Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) represents a powerful segment of the Gulf region economy. Its industries contributes a significant share to the non-oil GDP of the Gulf as major providers of jobs and the source of vital raw material for a wide range of downstream industries. GPCA was the first trade association formed in the Gulf region in 2006 by its eight visionary founding members: SABIC, Tasnee, Qapco, QVC, Borouge, GPIC, PIC, and Equate. The Founding Members’ vision foresaw the need for a voluntary and non-profit association focused on providing the resources, aid and technical assistance, needed by the petrochemicals and chemicals industry of the Gulf. This early insight proved to be accurate, enabling GPCA to come into existence speedily and be immediately accepted in the Gulf. Today it is the Gulf’s sole trade association, respected and recognized as the collective voice of the petrochemicals and chemicals industries on regional and international issues of common interest. It is also the trusted source of authoritative data on the Gulf region’s petrochemicals and chemicals industries, and has steadily expanded its influence and membership base to offer multiple platforms for stakeholders to network and share best practice.
