Tips to take the stress out of flying

Flying can be a stressful time even if you don’t have a fear of being airborne. Trying to remember flight times, passports etc can all take it’s toll. This handy article has great tips for ensuring you reach your destination safely and calmly.

Aug. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Packing your bags for a long-awaiting holiday abroad and then embarking on the journey to the airport can be stressful.  Checking, double-checking and then checking again that you have your passport, currency and travel documents can be exhausting. To top it all of, the last thing you want is to be stuck in a tail back on the M25 wondering if you are going to make your flight….

So why not take a chill pill, travel a day before your flight and stay over in a hotel close to the airport? It makes total sense! Ok, so you will still have to endure holiday packing hell but at least you won’t be pulling your hair out or panicking on the motorway.  Just take it easy, travel feeling relaxed and start your holiday a day earlier.

Most airports in the UK - from Luton to Liverpool - have an airport hotel or a choice of other accommodation in the city.  So no matter where you are in the country you can take advantage of this facility on offer.

Think of staying over in a hotel for the night as a mini adventure to kick start your holiday.  You could stay in, have a refreshing shower or relaxing bath, order room service, or experience the culinary delights on offer in the hotel restaurant and have a sociable drink at the bar.  If you are lucky to have spa facilities you could treat yourself to some rejuvenating treatments and enjoy the swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

On the other hand, if you choose to stay in a hotel close to the city centre why not go out and about and explore what’s on offer.  You could visit the local shopping centre to pick up a few last minute holiday bits, catch the latest blockbuster film at the cinema and go out for dinner and drinks.  Alternatively you could do a spot of sight seeing and check out the local attractions such as museums and art galleries to soak up a bit of English culture.

Whatever you choose to do with your spare time it has got to be better than rushing around like a headless chicken and then flopping with relief into your airplane seat.  Take your time and envisage yourself as a celebrity – floating around effortlessly, looking fabulous without a care or stress in the world.

So start your holiday early, get on the internet and start searching for hotels in Luton, Stansted, Glasgow – wherever you are travelling to – and what delights there are to sample in the area. Enjoy a stress-free travel experience and start as you mean to continue on your holiday – chilled out, relaxed and fancy free!
