Strange Weather Leads To A Novel

July 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Round Rock, TX (July 19, 2012)—Cindy Zablockis was driving home from work during the peak traffic hour when a freak hail storm caught her off guard. The storm was one of the worse hail storms Austin had ever experienced causing millions of damage to property, but Cindy was no stranger to odd weather. Since the day she turned seventeen, it seemed catastrophic weather appeared wherever she went—In 1987 she was visiting Northern, CA coastline when unusually high tides wiped out part of the coast. In 1989 she was driving in Southern California on I-5 freeway when a blizzard hit. In 1995 she was stuck in a moving truck when the worse snow storm hit Everett, WA. In 1996 she was on a train that derailed after hitting black ice in Oregon during a severe ice storm. And the list goes on.

After surviving yet another freak disaster, an idea came to Cindy about a teenage girl who develops paranormal power that changes the weather when she turns seventeen—from freak electrical storms to massive tidal waves. She must learn to control her power before anyone discovers she is causing the bad weather and reveals her location to a secret society that want her dead. But that’s hard to do when she’s a teenager and two boys are fighting for her attention, pushing her to the point she loses control.

Though Cindy never intended to write a young adult fantasy novel, her preferred genre is thrillers, but the story seemed to flow out of her and became a cross between a thriller and paranormal romance. The novel is now available for sale on Amazon.com in paperback and kindle format. Cindy plans to write five more books as part of the epic series, The Zeuorian.
