Grammy Award Nominee Kim Burell Serves on Board at Local Sschool

Symphony Seven School of Arts and Technology welcomes gospel artist Kim Burrell to board of directors

July 13, 2012 - PRLog -- [Tallahassee, FL] Symphony Seven (S7) School of the Arts and Technology is pleased to announce theaddition of Pastor Kim Burrell to its board of directors for the upcoming academic year. The board willserve as ambassadors for Symphony Seven, granting unbiased development oversight, budgetary prioritization, and management efficiency.

Pastor Burrell has been featured on various television shows; performed all around the country; and shared stages with gospel artists such as Shirley Caesar, Albertina Walker, Donnie McClurkin, Karen Clark-Sheard, Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin and Marvin Winans, just to name a few. This Grammy Award nominee and Stellar Award winner has a true and undying passion for ministry and music, but above all she loves God.

“Board members will cultivate program expansion opportunities, as well as, provide expertise, in specified areas, to better ensure the organizations continual progression,” said Elder Lamar Simmons, Pastor of Loveand Faith Community Church. “We are honored to have Pastor Burrell on the board and look forward to the insight that she will provide.”

Currently, she serves as the vocal consultant for B.E.T.’s Sunday Best and is the proud Pastor of Love & Liberty Fellowship Church in Houston, Texas. According to Pastor Burrell, it is her ultimate and genuine desire for these and other opportunities to capitalize on her ability to serve as a vessel of change, touching the lives of many and evoking souls to be saved throughout the United States and beyond.

Additional board members include Patrice Minor Floyd, Founder and Artistic Director of Javacya Arts Conservatory; Dr. Rosalie Hill, Director of the Tallahassee Girl’s Choir of CHOICE; Attorney C. Sha’Ron James, Division Director of the Division of Rehabilitation and Liquidation for the Florida Department of Financial Services; Dr. Albert R. Lee, Classical Vocalist; Tiffani McDonald, Teacher and Professional Development Site Coordinator at William J. Conley Elementary School; and Elder Lamar Simmons, Senior Pastor of Love & Faith Community Church.

Symphony Seven is under the leadership of the LFCC Outreach Development Corporation, a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) affiliate of Love & Faith Community Church and will open its doors on August 13, 2012.
