Organizations regularly promote their technical professionals who are competent and well qualified in their technical work, assuming that they are capable of managing people. These new managers consequently become ineffective as they undergo the transition, which often leave them frustrated and unmotivated.

Although leadership and management skills required to be a successful manager do not always come naturally to technical professionals, they are somehow uniquely qualified to be managers because they posses strong systems-thinking. Once they understand that an organization is simply systems of people, it is the moment when they become aware of what is expected out of them as managers.

This workshop provides the knowledge and tools needed for engineers to function successfully as managers. It exposes them to the fundamental of managerial skills and equips them with new capabilities, enabling them to apply their skills and insights immediately on work in progress.
