Learn How To Patch a Window Screen

Villa Park Hardware covers the steps to patch a window screen that has a small tear or hole.

July 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Villa Park Hardware has released a video to help their customers with torn or damaged screens.

"One popular question in the Spring and Summer is how to repair a small hole in a window screen," says store manager Jason Smejkal. "We put together a video that covers the steps that anyone can follow to patch a screen."

The video, released on the store's YouTube channel covers the steps to patch a window screen with just a paperclip and a pair of scissors. You can view the Villa Park Hardware video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2gnX0Cnt-g.

The video shows a window screen with a sizable hole. With a small piece of aluminum screen, you are taken through the steps to create a patch that is woven around the hole to repair it. With only a small amount of material and time, it does look like this is an easy fix for most homeowners.

The Villa Park Hardware has a collection of do it yourself videos on their online channel that gives hardware help to their customers. If you are interested in a local hardware store, you can visit the Villa Park Hardware at 46 S. Villa Ave. Villa Park, IL 60181 or online at http://www.villaparkhardware.com.
