9th Annual ClassLink Scholarship Winner Announced

I am pleased to share with you the name of the winner of ClassLink’s 9th Annual ClassLink College Scholarship Award - - Kelsey Prye from Pulaski High School in New York! Kelsey will receive $1000 to help with her college education.
 
June 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Clifton, NJ – ClassLink, the leader in cloud and web-based education solutions is pleased to announce the recipient of its 9th Annual ClassLink College Scholarship Award. The scholarship program is open to high school seniors at participating ClassLink schools who are interested in furthering their education at a two or four-year college. This year’s award winner is Kelsey Prye from Pulaski High School in New York!
To be considered for this award, students were asked to write a persuasive essay describing perceptions of cyber bullying and its impact. They were also asked to create a plan for the prevention of cyber bulling. Numerous entries were received and ClassLink recognizes and congratulates all of the nominees on their school achievements. Kelsey Prye impressed ClassLink judges with her essay on the need to raise awareness on the issue of bullying overall. Kelsey included in her essay her own experience helping organize and implement an action plan with her friends to combat cyber bullying at her high school.
Kelsey Prye is a National Honor Society member and high honor student. She is planning to attend college in the fall to earn a degree in Criminal Psychology. Kelsey participates in numerous extra-curricular sports and activities. Her multiple academic honors, volunteerism and well thought-out essay demonstrate that she is a thoughtful person who can get things accomplished.

The ClassLink College Scholarship is an essay competition and recognizes students who have demonstrated academic success while maintaining a well-rounded life outside of their scholarly pursuits. It is designed to help deserving young people achieve their goals in college; the $1000 scholarship may be applied to tuition, fees, books, room and board, or any other educational expense. Since its inception in 2004, the scholarship program rewards deserving students in the ClassLink network of schools.
