Hilton KHBTCC Hosts International Conference on Seizing Tourism Market Opportunities

June 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre managed by Hilton (KHBTCC) hosted the 2-day International Conference on Seizing Tourism Market Opportunities in Times of Rapid Change. The conference was jointly organized by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) bringing together public and private sector leaders to discuss the advancement of tourism development in a time of multiple challenges.

The conference is designed to debate the challenges and opportunities facing tourism in view of the current economic and social changes and key market trends. It focused on global changes and future scenarios highlighting political, social, technological and environmental drivers for change and their effect on tourism flows and investment. Other topics also covered reaching new customers, aviation growth prospects and currents trends, fostering foreign direct investment and competitive destinations.

Dr. Abdel Razzaq Arabiyat, Managing Director of Jordan Tourism Board, said: “King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre is a complete conference and meeting venue.
