Local Internet Startup Hosts First Event To Benefit Nonprofit

June 11, 2012 - PRLog -- DENVER, June 8, 2012 Denver-based SoRewarding, a social network that gives Denver consumers the power to negotiate the deals they want while supporting the charity they love is hosting their first event to raise money for Make-A-Wish ® Colorado on Monday, June 18, 2012.

SoRewarding strives to give back to the community through partnering with local nonprofit organizations while offering members the discounts they crave. The recently launched Internet company has added an events aspect to their business to help involve the community in its efforts to raise money for local nonprofits. The team handling the events has been dubbed the “RewardingCrew” and consists of one veteran of the company and three new event coordinators. With the addition of these new employees, SoRewarding has chosen Make-A-Wish ® Colorado to be the first beneficiary of this new service.

The goal of each event is to raise money for a local nonprofit organization while bringing the community together for food, drinks and fun. SoRewarding members are encouraged to use their deal at the merchant location on the date of the event to further benefit the nonprofit.

In addition to its dedication to helping local nonprofits, SoRewarding also focuses on making its deals website user-friendly. The company’s Consumer Driven Deals (CDD) feature is simple and easy to use, connecting consumers directly to merchants in a social network setting.  To participate, both merchants and consumers simply visit the website’s homepage to create their unique, free profile page.  Members looking for a great deal submit their deal request to the merchant via their SoRewarding profile page or smartphone app and select a participating local nonprofit to receive a cash donation.

Once a merchant receives a deal request, they have 24-hours to accept, reject or counter-offer the request, which can be done from the SoRewarding dashboard, or from a smartphone. The merchant has the power to control all terms and conditions of the offer with the click of a button.
