DENVER - Dec. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- DENVER, December 5, 2013 - Denver-based SoRewarding (http://www.sorewarding.com/), the “platform for philanthropy,” announced today a strategic partnership with Washington, DC-based PVBLIC Foundation.   This partnership is announced at a time when individuals and companies are increasingly looking for ways to make a positive impact on their communities and the world.

“We at SoRewarding are thrilled to be working with PVBLIC Foundation,” says Marion Mariathasan, CEO of SoRewarding. “They are a great bunch of thought-leaders focused on helping non-profits acquire media grants.  PVBLIC Foundation was in need of a comprehensive platform to help its partners excel in philanthropy, and we feel fortunate that their team selected SoRewarding to meet this need,” Mariathasan says.

PVBLIC Co-Founder Sergio Fernandez de Cordova is equally excited about the partnership. "The partnership will equip our grantees with innovative digital tools and strategies to connect to new potential volunteers, donors and socially responsible businesses at the local and national levels." Fernandez de Cordova says.  "The SoRewarding platform and social network offer our current and future grantees a new outlet to build a strong community of support for their cause amongst individuals engaging in ordinary activities such as purchasing online deals or buying event tickets."

In conjunction with the new partnership, SoRewarding released its redesigned site with new features, a cleaner layout, and other enhancements as requested by its individual, non-profit, and business users. SoRewarding also recently reached its 1 millionth visitor to the site.

This increase in traffic on SoRewarding is indicative of a trend that is being noted in recent publications and studies about an increase in philanthropy, individual giving, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).  Many of these studies are also showing that consumers have a more positive view of companies that engage in CSR.

According to the 2013 Cone Communications/ Echo Global CSR Study, “Nearly all consumers say that when companies engage in CSR, they have a more positive image of the company (96%), would be more likely to trust that company (94%) and would be more loyal to that company (93%).”

Janus Capital Group is one company leveraging SoRewarding for its CSR efforts. The company is active on the SoRewarding website and also recently purchased 6,000 of SoRewarding’s “Spread Kindness” trackable wrist bands.

Executives at one of the largest telecommunications companies in the U.S. have also been in talks with Mariathasan about how to utilize the SoRewarding platform to get their company and their employees more involved in donating and volunteering.

“SoRewarding and PVBLIC Foundation are already individually making great strides in increasing philanthropy and corporate consciousness,” Mariathasan says. “Together, we are going to make a huge impact.”
