Snell & Wilmer Expands Its Tax and Intellectual Property Groups with the Addition of Two Attorneys

June 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Hadar Avraham and Paul Pappalardo have joined the firm in the Phoenix and Tucson offices. Avraham will practice with State and Local Tax group in both Phoenix and Tucson. Pappalardo will practice with the Intellectual Property group in Phoenix.

Avraham practices state and local tax law with a focus on property tax counseling and litigation matters in Arizona and Nevada. She has handled large caseloads of administrative appeals, litigation in the superior court and appellate matters. She has successfully litigated  against and negotiated with opposing parties to realize millions of dollars in tax savings. Avraham earned her J.D. from the University of Arizona where she was honored with the James E. Rogers College of Law Merit Scholarship and her B.A. from the University of Arizona, with Distinction. Avraham is the vice president of the Young Tax Professionals of Tucson and is also the secretary of the Tax Section in the State Bar of Arizona, Executive Council.

Pappalardo is a patent attorney specializing in the chemical arts. Leveraging his extensive background in chemical research, he is able to collaborate with scientists to develop patentable subject matter from inventive ideas and is highly experienced in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in support of global IP portfolios. Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, Pappalardo was an in-house patent attorney for a global consumer products and industrial chemicals company with sales of €15+ billion. His experience includes drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications and issuing freedom-to-market opinions for chemical compositions and articles of manufacture. Pappalardo earned his J.D. from the Phoenix School of Law where he graduated cum laude and was ranked 8th in class; his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Indiana University; and his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Michigan.
