May 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Scottsdale, AZ,  Summer in the Valley of the Sun is a time for early-morning hikes and evenings by the pool. With so much to look forward to and bathing suits to fit back into, Bungalow Bar and Grill is introducing its new Light and Lively Summer Menu, perfect for lunch and dinner.

“Summer is time for shorts and swimming suits,” said Trish Clark, manager of Bungalow Bar and Grill. “It’s the time of year when everyone is focused on eating healthy and light, especially in Arizona, so we’ve put together a new menu of refreshing salads and sandwiches that are perfect for the season.”

Bungalow’s Light and Lively Summer Menu includes Cobb Salad prepared with fresh avocado, tomatoes, bacon, green beans, hard-boiled eggs, Swiss cheese and grilled chicken served on a bed of romaine lettuce for $10. Bungalow’s Pear Salad is a striking combination of fresh pear, tomatoes, cucumber, avocado and marinated chicken breast served with light Italian dressing and warm pita bread for just $10.

“Our Pear Salad is an old family recipe and a crowd pleaser,” Clark said. “It’s one of those salads that leaves you satisfied and quickly craving it again, and that’s okay, because it’s as healthy as it is delicious.”

The new menu includes Bungalow’s own Turkey Burger, a Granny Smith apple, chutney-mixed burger on a seven-grain bun, served with pear-raisin chutney and sweet potato fries with chipotle sauce that brings out the sweet flavor for $10.50.

The Salmon Club is a filet of salmon served on sourdough toast with cucumber, avocado and a dill caper aioli with French fries for $11.

“Our new lunch menu is ideal for the summer season, fun, filling, and light,” Clark said. “And we’re bringing back our popular Skinny Drink Menu for the perfect pairings.”

The Skinny Drink Menu includes Bungalow-only signature drinks like Skinny Jeans Tea, the Skinny Margarita, the No-Belly Bungalow and the Volipolitan (all under 100 calories).

Bungalow Bar & Grill is located at 4360 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, just one block south of Camelback on the southwest corner of Scottsdale Road and Stetson Drive.
