Getting in on the Act of Recycling

May 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Television has a massive reach, so Blue Skies Recycling has decided to jump on the bandwagon to share their fresh approach to recycling —  organics.  Blue Skies Recycling took its message to a special Earth Day All About Business St. Louis, which aired at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012, on KPLR-TV 11.

Harry Cohen, founder and president of Blues Skies Recycling, first appeared on the show’s “Going Green” episode that aired in October. During that segment, Cohen spoke of how organic recycling was sweeping the nation from coast-to-coast. But, unfortunately, the Midwest was being left behind. Organic recycling is the disposal for composting of foods and other organic materials.

“In the Midwest, I thought there was another piece of the recycling puzzle that people were missing out on,” he said. “I wanted to create a company that recycles things that people wouldn’t even think of.”

St. Louis-based Blues Skies Recycling aims to raise awareness of its efforts. As businesses throughout the area are becoming more aware of environmental sustainability, Blue Skies provides the means.

Blue Skies Recycling, which also specializes in single-stream recycling, makes it a priority to cater to each customer’s needs. Single-stream recycling includes glass, cardboard, paper, aluminum, and most plastic materials.
