After 80 Years, Helle to Release Folding Knife

April 26, 2012 - PRLog -- For 80 years, Helle of Norway has operated exclusively as a fixed-blade knife manufacturer.  Folding knives simply never met the strict quality standards synonymous with the Helle brand. This, however, is all set to change in the spring with the release of the Dokka, Helle’s first folding knife.  Like many knives in Helle’s product line, the Dokka will feature a triple laminated stainless steel blade that measures 3.5” long and has a 58 Rockwell hardness.  Unique to Helle, this triple laminated steel blade gives the Dokka a lasting, razor-sharp edge designed to protect against corrosion and breakage.  As a folding knife, the blade nestles neatly into the Dokka’s 4.6” curly birch handle making the knife easy to stow.

Since its founding in 1932, Helle’s philosophy has remained the same: quality craftsmanship is best preserved by skilled craftsmen. Each and every knife is fashioned by skilled Norwegian craftsmen who take great pride in making each and every Helle knife unique.  The Dokka continues this longstanding tradition and is made by hand in Helle’s factory located deep in the heart of rural western Norway.
