April 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Irvine, Calif. -- Reazon Systems, Inc., a leading education technology provider and creator of iRubric, recently launched the successful integration of iRubric with Sakai’s Assignment 2 tool.  This tight integration places rubrics close to student work where grading and commenting take place. As a result, instructors are able to easily grade student submissions using iRubric through both the Assignment 2 and Gradebook tools.

“Our integration with the original Assignment tool was put on hold pending the release of Assignment 2.  After the release of Assignment 2, we began a close integration effort that enables faculty to use iRubric next to student submissions,”  explained Ramesh Sabetiashraf, the CEO of Reazon Systems, Inc. “We continue to strive to provide technologies that enhance user-experience and this integration is another example of our commitment to quality solution.”

iRubric, a recipient of a 2009 TechAmerica High-Tech Innovation Award, streamlines learning assessment and data analysis for educational institutions. By streamlining the assessment process and using its pioneering Click-to-Grade technology, iRubric enables educators and school administrators to effectively monitor student progress and learning outcomes. As a result, iRubric becomes an essential technology enabling educators to meet standards-based and authentic assessment guidelines set by accreditation, state and federal organizations, as well as the ones set by the institutions and programs.

iRubric's seamless integration with Sakai CLE allows users to access iRubric directly from the Sakai Gradebook and Assignment 2 tools.  The platform provides educators with rubric generation and assessment tools, students with viewing capabilities for pre- and post-assessment, and administrators with detailed real-time reports for analysis and monitoring of student performance and learning outcomes. iRubric-for-Sakai is available for licensing to the hundreds of institutions currently using Sakai, an open source learning management system originated by Indiana University, Stanford University, University of Michigan and MIT.
