April 16, 2012 - PRLog -- WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.; April 16, 2012 — The Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel is pleased to announce that West Palm Beach Managing Partner, and longtime resident of the Town of Palm Beach, Patricia Lebow has been named as the 2012 Honorary Chair of the 29th Annual Women in Leadership Awards (WILA) luncheon. The annual event by the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches (EWPB) will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012, at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach.

Lebow, a past WILA Private Sector Award Winner, commented: " I am so proud to serve as Honorary Chair for this iconic event in Palm Beach County where we pay tribute to the women in our community who have not only achieved success in their chosen careers, but also have reached the top tier of community service. These are the women who are making Palm Beach County the best that it can be. They are having an impact on the lives of others. "

Lebow founded the West Palm Beach office of the statewide law firm of Broad and Cassel in 1983. She serves as its managing partner overseeing more than 20 attorneys in various practice areas including litigation, real estate, intellectual property, corporate and estates and trust law.

Lebow is also the co-founder with her late husband, Alan, of Kids' Dreams, a 501(c)3 public charity whose mission is to provide financially disadvantaged youth with the opportunities to participate in the cultural amenities of the community. Among the various programs sponsored by Kids' Dreams is the endowment of a scholarship presented annually to a young woman by Executive Women of the Palm Beaches. The scholarship announcement will be made at the luncheon on May 3 with the first recipient of the scholarship to be selected in 2013 and each year thereafter. Criteria for selection of the Kids' Dreams Scholarship include the need for financial assistance to pursue a college education in Florida.

Other programs sponsored for financially disadvantaged youth by Kids' Dreams include the Alan Lebow Awards for Excellence in Shakespearean Recitation presented by the Kravis Center; Literacy Days at the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens; Project Wild Science Fair at the Palm Beach Zoo and First Tee, among others.

The WILA Luncheon, held annually each spring, was the first award program in Palm Beach County to recognize the leadership accomplishments of women in Palm Beach community. At the luncheon, EWPB presents its Annual Women In Leadership Awards to exemplary women who have demonstrated extraordinary achievements and leadership in the private, public and volunteer sectors.  The 2012 WILA Keynote Speaker is Joan Lunden, an award-winning television journalist, New York Times bestselling author, sought-after motivational speaker, successful entrepreneur, and one of America’s most recognized and trusted television personalities.
