| Kroger Raises Close To $20,000 For Muscular Dystrophy AssociationLocal Grocer Has Partnered With Nonprofit Health Agency For More Than 20 Years To Raise Money For Children’s Summer Camps And Health Services Last year the MDA’s shamrock program raised more than $220,000, with area Kroger stores contributing more than $14,000 to the total amount. This year, Kroger has topped that already impressive figure. Carl York, corporate affairs manager for Kroger’s Mid-Atlantic region, said the MDA shamrock program is a great way to support the local community. All donations made at area Kroger stores will go toward assisting children and adults served by MDA within the Raleigh district.
