Artist Tom Dumke Will Exhibit Work At Top Ranking Arts Festival May 11-13, 2012

April 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Tom Dumke of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin will exhibit work in the wood category at Artisphere, Greenville SC's premier arts festival.  Artisphere's eighth annual Festival will take place May 11, 12 and 13, 2012.  The centerpiece of Artisphere is the Artist Row, featuring 120 of the highest caliber artists across the United States and beyond.  Artists in the ceramics, drawing, digital art, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metalworks, 2D and 3D mixed media oil and acrylic painting, watercolor painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and woodwork media categories will exhibit.  Artists are selected to participate in the Festival through a highly competitive jury review process by a panel of jurors who are experts in the visual arts.  Jurors for the 2012 festival include:  Deb Karash, Jeweler, 2012 Artisphere Award Winner, Bakersville NC.  Mark Koven, Assistant Professor of Sculpture, UNC Asheville, Asheville, NC, Sarah Rishel, Printmaker, Atlanta, GA, and Pam Wall, Curator of Exhibitions, the Gibbes Museum of Art, Charleston, SC.

The Artisphere Festival includes a wide array of performing arts in local theatres and outdoor amphitheaters, visual arts exhibits at local museums and participating galleries, a Culinary Arts Cafe', and Kidsphere, a children's activities area.  Despite its short history, the Artisphere Festival has grown into a signature event on Greenville's cultural calendar and has distinguished itself as both a national and regional highlight.  Artisphere has been ranked a Top Twenty Fine Arts and Craft Festival out of 600 nationwide by Greg Lawler's Art Fair Sourcebook and was recently designated a "100 Best" Art Show in Sunshine Artists Magazine for the second year consecutively.  Artisphere brings tens of thousands of residents and tourists together to experience the arts in the beautiful, West-End Historic district of Downtown Greenville, SC.
