Wilderness Territory in Wisconsin Dells to Unveil Two New Extreme Thrill Slides for Summer

April 18, 2012 - PRLog -- WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — This summer, get ready for some “stomach dropping” adventures as the Wilderness Territory, America’s Largest Waterpark Resort located in Wisconsin Dells, adds two new extreme waterslides.
  According to Joe Eck, general manager for the Wilderness Resort, “These unbelievably cool slides are taking our waterparks to new extremes, and are definitely not meant for the faint-hearted. Each will feature a space-themed launch capsule with a trap door located in the floor that leads to incredible five-story drops below.
  “The Lunar Loop will propel daring guests at speeds of nearly 40 mph into a nearly vertical spiral over the Lost World Adventure River while the Cosmic Drop will be a straight five-story plunge that feels like a heart-pounding free fall.  Both rides are certain to be popular attractions in our already famous waterparks!”
  The slides, which are tentatively scheduled to open Memorial Day weekend, will be located on the same tower as the Halley’s Comet Racers in the Lost World Waterpark at Glacier Canyon Lodge. Like all Wilderness Territory waterpark amenities, they will be reserved exclusively for resort guests.
   The slides are not the only new thing at the Wilderness. In January, the resort unveiled the indoor Northern Lights Sky Ropes Course. It allows adventure enthusiasts to take fun to a whole new level at our resort as they climb through 42 challenges in varying degrees of difficulty all while being harnessed in 30 feet above the Northern Lights Mega Arcade at the Wilderness Resort.
