By: PATH Foundation The race begins at 7:30 a.m. and includes a 400-yard swim in the Chastain Park Pool, a 15-mile bike ride and concludes with a 5K run on the Chastain Park trail. Proceeds from the triPATHlon will benefit the three host organizations: The event is sponsored by Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead, The Coca-Cola Company and Cox Media Group. “After a hugely successful first-ever triPATHlon last year, we are excited to host the event again this year,” says Brian Cosgray, a PATH Foundation committee member. “We will be making a few changes this year: in addition to individual entries, we will now be accepting team entries.” “We have also updated the race layout to accommodate and enhance the experience for spectators,” “On behalf of Chastain Park Conservancy, we are proud to serve as a co-host for this annual race,” said Gip Johnson, executive director of the Chastain Park Conservancy. “We hope the community will come out and enjoy our beautiful facilities during the event and throughout the year.” "Once again, the Chastain Park Athletic Club is pleased to serve as a co-host of the triPATHlon," The triPATHlon is a fully sanctioned USAT sprint triathlon and one of few in-town triathlon events in the country. Registration is limited to 550 participants. The entry fee is $75 for USAT members and $85 for non-members. Teams will have an entry fee of $125.
