Katherine Kay Elected Community Bankers Association of Georgia’s Division Five Chair

Kay will also serve as chair of the Children’s Healthcare Fundraising Effort
 
ATLANTA - July 31, 2013 - PRLog -- The Community Bankers Association of Georgia’s (CBA) Leadership Division elected Katherine Kay, senior vice president – human resources with Georgia Commerce Bank, as the new Division Five Chair, which covers the metro Atlanta area. Kay was also elected Children’s Healthcare Fundraising chair.

The Leadership Division of CBA was created in 1980 to educate and inform future bank leaders on the current issues in the banking industry and to prepare them for further leadership roles in their institutions. Each year, the Leadership Division raises money to benefit Children’s Healthcare in different areas of the Children’s Healthcare Foundation including student nursing programs, childhood cancer research, school health programs and many more across Georgia.

“Since 1989, we have raised more than $350,000 toward children’s healthcare issues in Georgia,” said Kay. “I look forward to working with other community bank leaders in Georgia to continue to raise donations for this important cause.”
