March 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Sarova Earth Hour campaign is in line with Earth Hour -a  global event organized by WWF (World Wildlife Fund), and is held on the last Saturday of March annually, asking households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. Earth Hour has reached over 1.8 billion people, with more than 5200 cities and towns taking part in 135countries across every continent. It has been described by media as ‘the World’s largest campaign for the planet’.

This year, Earth hour has introduced ‘I will if you will’ as part of the global campaign. This messaging was created to inspire and empower supporters worldwide to commit to more than just turning off the lights for one hour.

In light of driving world-changing environmental results, Sarova Hotels, Resorts and Game Lodges desires to engage its community in environmental conservation by not only participating in the global activity of switching off of lights on 31st March 8.30 – 9.30 pm, but even further through the global ‘I will if you will’ campaign in the month of March. It’s a simple promise and challenge - ‘Sarova Hotels, Resorts and Game Lodges will plant a Tree seedling for every new like on our Facebook page by 31st March 2012.’ It provides the incentive and the mechanism for our clients, and Sarova as a whole to go beyond the hour and importantly, talk about it.
