Sarova Hotels won four awards during the Kenya Tourism Federation Awards 2011

June 24, 2011 - PRLog -- The first-ever Kenya Tourism Awards were held last evening at a colourful gala dinner on the grounds of the Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi. The awards ceremony was graced by United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN-WTO) Secretary General Dr. Taleb Rifai, who was also the chief guest. The ceremony brought together tourism players and stakeholders both in government and the private sector. In attendance were Tourism Minister Hon. Najib Balala, Assistant Minister Ministry of Tourism Hon. Cecily Mbarire, Leah Gwiyo the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Tourism, members of the diplomatic corps, CEOs of state and private corporations and key stakeholders in the tourism industry.
There were a total of 17 awards up for grabs.  Sarova Hotels Resort & Game lodges won four of the awards :-

1. Best accommodation facility award- Beach/ Coast Hotel - Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa
2. Best accommodation facility award- City hotel- Sarova Stanley
3. Domestic tourism award- Sarova Hotels, Resort & Game Lodges
4. Investment in human Capital award- Sarova Hotels, Resort & Game Lodges
