Li made the remark while meeting with visiting Indonesian Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro in Zhongnanhai, the Chinese government's central compound. Li also said China and Indonesia are friendly neighbors that share broad common interests. He cited a 2005 meeting between President Hu Jintao and his Indonesian counterpart Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, which resulted in the creation of a strategic partnership between the two countries.
