Golden Software Announces Voxler® 3 to Create Customized 3D Models and Images from Scientific Data

Voxler 3 enables users to quickly and easily import data in a multitude of file types to create stunning graphics to explore the relationships between 3D data sets. This robust, yet easy-to-use, program gives the user the power to display data in a variety of colors, views, and 3D formats: 3D rendered volumes, Isosurfaces, straight and deviated well bores, 3D block models, contours, 3D slices, orthographic and oblique images, scatter plots, stream lines, and vector plots.

This major Voxler upgrade includes many new features. Users can now render and display straight and deviated well bores, render from/to data and log data along the well paths, drape georeferenced aerial imagery over height fields, drape contours over Surfer GRD files, and label scatter plots. Also included is a new graphical display module, the FaceRender, which displays voxel-based geological data in a block-style model. The vertical scaling of 3D models is easily adjusted with the new vertical exaggeration feature.

Voxler 3 has increased compatibility with geotechnical and geologic modeling software full XLSX, ECW import and LAS import, and ZMAP and CPS3 grid support.

Additionally, Voxler’s user interface experienced a full face lift to improve consistency with the Golden Software product line. Module behavior in the Network Manager is intuitive and simplified and the feature properties are easily managed with the addition of tabbed pages to the Property Manager.
