Follow on Google News | Personal Injury Attorney Drexler to Guest on "Legal File" ShowIn an interview on Public Access Channel’s “Legal File” Los Angeles-based personal injury attorney David Drexler spoke candidly with the show’s host, Charles Parselle, Esq., about his family history, upbringing and education.
By: R. Klettke Drexler is the son of immigrant parents; Holocaust survivors who came to the United States after the war in search of a better life. His parents opened one of the first and most famous kosher delis in Los Angeles and ran it for more than forty years in the San Fernando Valley. It was here, Drexler says, working behind the counter of his parent’s deli, that he developed an empathetic ear for the problems people were suffering. He also credits his work at the deli for his people skills and his desire to perform, a talent that serves him well in the courtroom as a successful trial attorney. “I enjoy the performance aspect of trial law,” says Drexler, who is also recognized as a premiere legal malpractice attorney ( http://www.daviddrexlerlaw.com/ Drexler graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Suma Cum Laude from UCLA before attending Johns Hopkins University in Washington DC on a Fellowship in International Law and Diplomacy. Following three years there, he returned to Los Angeles where he graduated from Loyola Law School. Parselle asked Drexler how he managed to deal with the ups and downs of personal injury law and the system of working on contingency (or pay only on a successful result). “To be successful,” Drexler’s philosophy about clients is that they are ‘clients for life.’ He doesn’t believe in the kind of law practice that shoves clients through the legal system for a quick result by settling a case that deserves to be heard before a judge. When mediation works, he uses it, but doing what’s best for his client, despite the financial output required of an attorney to put on a case, is what he expects from himself. His clients come back again and again over the years because they trust him. “I’m focused on the client,’ he says. “Not on the money.” It’s exactly that philosophy that has made David Drexler one of the most successful trial attorneys in California.
