By: Derek Smith Happy Comedy Box Office! www.ineligibleforgreatness.com For your information pleasure I've analysed the US Box Office to see which comedies made the Top 20 over the Superbowl Weekend....some familiar names kept cropping up...see for yourself! Number 6: One For The Money Despite the awful reviews Katherine Heigl's new movie (based on the bestselling book of the same name) is performing considerably well with audiences. Debuting at number 3 last week and falling only three spots...watch this space! Number 8: The Descendants With Clooney and an Oscar-winning director you're pretty much guaranteed one thing: steady box-office returns. Holding in within the Top 10, Fox Searchlight must be rubbing their hands with glee: the Oscars are just a few weeks away and everyone knows that the race for Best Actor is George's to lose! Number 12: The Artist This film continues to defy expectations. It's now coming into its eleventh week at the box office and yet it's still steadily raking in the box office numbers. Harvey Weinstein, my hat goes off to you...brilliant work! Number 17: Joyful Noise With a rating of 4.7 on IMDB, it's no surprise that Queen Latifah's new film is rapidly falling out of the charts. When are producers going to learn that almost every film Queen Latifah agrees to work on turns out to be a complete stinker?? Number 19: Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked Still in the Top 20...and yep, it has grossed almost $130 million in the US alone......need I say more? For more information: End
