fluid Operations and Ontotext Close Resell Agreement

Walldorf/Sofia – fluid Operations™ and Ontotext announce a mutual resell agreement. fluid Operations is the leading provider of innovative cloud and data management solutions based on semantic technologies. Ontotext offers semantic technologies as well as text and web mining solutions. As part of the resell agreement, the partners will bundle and market their know-how and technologies in the areas of semantic technologies and Linked Data.
OWLIM and Information Workbench - Integrated Solution for the Interaction with Linked Data
The joint solution is based on the Information WorkbenchTM from fluid Operations and the semantic database OWLIM from Ontotext. OWLIM provides a robust semantic repository for scalable data management, while the Information Workbench offers advanced capabilities for visualization, exploration and interaction with the integrated database. Together, OWLIM and the Information Workbench offer an integrated solution from backend to frontend. The solution covers the entire lifecycle of interacting with Linked Data, including the integration of heterogeneous data from different data sources, an innovative inference engine, intelligent query answering, collaborative knowledge acquisition and augmentation, as well as business intelligence and advanced analytic capabilities.

Linked Data – The Core of Semantic Technologies

The term Linked Data refers to data represented in a unifying, machine-readable data format that makes it possible to semantically interlink and connect heterogeneous resources at data level. Exhibiting a high degree of interoperability and ease of reuse, Linked Data has become a prominent choice for publishing data on the Web as Linked Open Data.
