Asked why the author likes the fantasy genre, he said, “A lack of excitement in my community gave me quite an active imagination.” A young man with an exciting career in writing ahead of him, A. L. Collins has been on an exponential learning curve developing his writing skills. “I’m already a much better writer than I was yesterday, so to feel like I’m growing at this rate is just amazing.” Staying busy and balancing his social life seems to be a bit of a challenge. “Sometimes things get so crazy that I’d love to be able to just sit in a comfy room and write my heart out. The book eats up the social life too. My friends wonder why I haven’t resurfaced after so many weeks. I’m just that busy,” he said during a recent interview. Bastion: ABOUT THE AUTHOR: A.L.
