Keeping Us Safe and Lifelines Academy & Network Announce Strategic Partnership

Jan. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Keeping Us Safe is proud to announce the formation of a collaborative educational partnership with Lifelines Academy & Network.  Their unified goal is to contribute to the safety and independence of seniors who should no longer be driving by educating eldercare professionals to effectively address this pervasive and growing challenge.

Most people will outlive their driving capability.  Men by an average of six years and women by an average of 10 years, as reported by the US Department of Health and Human Services.  In fact, according to the US Census Bureau, roughly 19% of Americans, or 13.9 million people, will need alternatives to driving in order to continue living independently in 2030.  

Eldercare professionals who are skilled and credentialed to provide dignified solutions to the problem of outliving driving capability are in demand.

The mission of Keeping Us Safe, a national organization based in Cleveland, Ohio, is to provide older drivers and their families with tools necessary to confront the challenging issue of diminishing driving skills in the older driver.  

Lifelines Academy & Network, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, is an online community for educating, connecting and promoting professionals serving seniors nationwide, currently offering over 500 online courses.
