In the most recent edition of IDT’s quarterly newsletter, DECODED, Ellen Prediger, Director of Scientific Communications at IDT, discusses work carried out by Dr Shengdar Tsai who used IDT oligos that take advantage of Hamming barcoding to create multiplexed next generation sequencing libraries. While a graduate student in the lab of Dr Jorge Piedrahita at North Carolina State University, Dr Tsai performed multiplexed targeted sequence capture to investigate mutations associated with fetal growth restriction, a dangerous pregnancy-related condition that is the second leading cause of prenatal death.
