Vernon Hills, IL, November 30, 2011 – Al Boston, CEO of AK Material Handling Systems  www.akequipment.com has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) for 2012.  

Boston has been involved in the material handling business for 24 years in a leadership role mentoring his associates to be professional material handling suppliers.  After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Western Illinois University followed by Graduate work in Material Handling and Logistics, Boston started in the material handling industry as an end user of forklifts, pallet rack, conveyors, and mezzanines in distribution management for Kraft Foods. Boston moved to equipment sales because of his experience and knowledge of systems design and layout. He is strategically looking at the next five years and planning accordingly.

“MHEDA has helped AK Material Handling Systems and me personally to be more professional over the last ten years of membership. It is time for me to give back to the organization by serving on the Board of Directors,” says Boston.
