Nov. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- There’s no getting away from the fact that Christmas is the busiest time of the year in the hospitality industry. Both staff and machines are working overtime and any weak points in the operation will soon crack under the pressure. It pays to take a few moments to check out vital equipment to ensure there won’t be any hitches in the festive service.
Dishwashers and glasswashers are invaluable items in bars and restaurants. If these are functioning efficiently they will cut down on the amount of extra glasses or crockery needed.  Classeq, the only British manufacturer of glasswashers and dishwashers, suggests some handy tips to keep a constant supply of clean items coming through.
When was the last time the machine was serviced? All machines need regular servicing to run efficiently and extend their working life. If your machine is due a service over the Christmas period make sure you schedule it beforehand rather than leaving it till afterwards and risking a breakdown.
Are there any leaks? This is the most obvious indication that there’s a problem. Replacing the door seal may be a simple solution. Your dealer should be able to offer help and advice.
How long does it take to fill or drain? If it seems a bit slow there may be a blockage due to fat deposits. It’s best to call in an engineer as things can only get worse.
Is it slow heating up? This may be due to limescale build-up. Descaling the machine might help because limescale deposits can seriously damage your equipment.
Is it leaving streaks?  Check the filters and the wash and rinse arms. If this doesn’t do the trick then it may be the dosing that needs adjusting. Once again your dealer should be able to point you in the right direction.
