Klemchuk Kubasta LLP Adds Senior Associate

Nov. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- DALLAS -- Klemchuk Kubasta LLP (KK LLP), a leading full-service intellectual property (IP) law firm, announces the addition of Remy M. Davis as a senior associate in the firm.  Davis’ addition will help meet the needs of the firm’s expanding practice, while adding to the firm’s trademark portfolio selection and prosecution offering.

“Our firm has tripled in size during the past two years,” said Darin Klemchuk, the firm’s co-founder and senior partner.  “This growth in business is driving our need to expand our practice.  Remy’s outstanding legal background combined with her experience in trademark portfolio management makes her an asset to the firm.”

Davis brings a broad background in intellectual property law to her position with KK LLP.  She has counseled retail businesses in all aspects of trademark portfolio management including clearance searches, prosecution and enforcement.  She has prepared IP license and assignment agreements, represented domain name registrants, provided advice in copyright cases, represented clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, prepared IP agreements for M&A transactions, and assisted in trial preparation for various IP proceedings.

Prior to joining Klemchuk Kubasta, Davis was an associate with Thompson & Knight LLP.  While she was attending school, she also worked at Passman & Jones, P.C. and Buckley Kolar, LLP, and interned for the Honorable Joe Cox of the 160th Civil District Court.  An alumnus of Southern Methodist University (SMU), she graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree.  She also received a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from SMU, graduating magna cum laude.
