Hard Knocks Fighter Fights On Battlefield Card

Nov. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- In September of 2011 Andrew Buckland of Nanaimo, BC took home Hard Knocks' first title belt. He defeated Calgary's Keto Allen of Canuckles MMA in the main event at Hard Knocks 14.

Training out of Impact MMA, Buckland holds an impressive pro MMA record of 19-12.

Buckland, under contract with Hard Knocks, was recently approached by Battlefield Fight League to fight on a card that will air live on TV. Hard Knocks has released Buckland of his contract so that he can pursue this opportunity.

Ari Taub, CEO of Hard Knocks Fighting, says of the arrangement, "We want to allow fighters to compete as often as possible. Releasing Buckland from his contract to allow him to fight in his home province on TV was just the right thing to do."

Andrew Buckland will vacate his welterweight title belt with Hard Knocks but Taub says that he is welcome to return and compete for it again.
