Wyoming Board Excited About New System from GL Solutions

Oct. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Bend, Oregon — October 28, 2011 — GL Solutions today announced the signing of a new agreement with the Wyoming Board of Cosmetology (WYBOC). This State Board ensures the public health, welfare and safety of the citizens of Wyoming through education and enforcement of the laws and rules by regulation of salons, schools and individuals who practice cosmetology.

With only two full time employees and two field inspectors, this state agency is tasked with inspecting over 1,500 independent contractors, salons, and beauty schools across Wyoming every year.  They are also responsible for licensure and enforcement of over 5000 cosmetologists, hair stylists nail technicians, estheticians.

WYBOC had been operating their regulatory processes using four different databases. The main database housed all of their personal licenses for salons and schools, but student information was stored separately. In order to check on the status of current licenses, staff had to switch between the four systems introducing the possibility of making mistakes and missing important information.
