Oct. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Writer, poet and artist, Kobina Wright has chosen nine art collages from her 14 year old archive to display on Fine Art America to coincide with the release of her spoken word track titled “Sink” (available on iTunes).

The cover image of Wright’s cool-art-world meets open-mic-night, is a minimalist arrangement of magazine cut out letters you might expect to find in a 1980’s ransom letter, an artistic practice Wright had adopted in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

Revisiting her magazine-ransom letter collage beginnings, Wright is displaying some of her earliest collage work on FineArtAmerica.com.  The collages contain snappy little messages Wright conjured with an attitude that matched the time period.  Ironically, anyone can apply these messages to today’s social and economic climate.

You can view Wright’s work at:  http://fineartamerica.com/art/all/kobina+wright/all.  They are available for viewing and reproduction until the end of October.
