Artist, Kobina Wright Has First Month Long Solo Exhibition, Huntington Beach
Wright's first month-long solo exhibit in Huntington Beach reflects new works alongside familiar works in the month of August.
"Small Works: Real and Unreal" is Wright's first month long solo exhibition and is centered around twenty small black ink sketches of various and sometimes abstract, subject matter. Wright considers these important works to be the window into her own mind – a mind with whimsical and varying interests.
Wright is both an artist and writer from Orange County, California, who earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from California State University, Fullerton. She has published several books and her art work has been exhibited in several countries, including Thailand, New Zealand; France, England and Suriname.
Wright's painting titled "Green Gerenuk" was recently exhibited in the Netherland at the Amsterdam Outsider Art Gallery as a part of a collaborative traveling mosaic tapestry project through Uncooked Culture.
