By: Aimee Zak Cortney joined WSC in 2004 as an Employment Coordinator and quickly advanced as an Employment Services Supervisor. In 2007, she began with the Eisenhower Center, neuro-rehabilitation center for individuals with traumatic brain injuries. She was responsible for managing developers/job coaches and implementing training techniques for new employees. Cortney provided vocational/career evaluation counseling and assessment, job seeking skills training and job placement. She cultivated working relationships with a wide range of employers in the community, in addition to compiling program evaluation data, including customer satisfaction information. At the present, after a short break from WSC, Cortney returned to WSC in 2011 as the Development Specialist. Cortney was a four collegiate athlete at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Cortney is currently working on a Masters degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonee, Wisconsin. In addition, Cortney maintains her Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) through the Brain Injury Association.
