While training a Labrador puppy, you can start with basic puppy training and socialization. Labradors can be one of the best breeds of dogs to keep at home, even though you have children. Socializing your Labrador at young age is vital as it helps them to become at ease with people in a wide range situations and helps them learn how you need them to behave.

Showing them the meaning of basic commands like "Sit", "Stay", "Down" and "Heel" will be extremely valuable later on when you want your dog to do one of these things. Most commands can be enthusiastically learned by your Labrador puppy which makes your work as an owner reasonably easy afterwards.

Before you start training, decide on which training method you're going to use and make sure this is the training technique that you are intending to use for everything you teach your Labrador. Explore into the different ways that you can teach your Labrador to comply with basic commands before you begin.
