Oct. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- To learn how to train a dog at home isn't as difficult as you might think.  Every dog can learn a lot more than is usually known.  Although it normally takes a specific kind of dog and a specific kind of owner to create a canine film star, home helper or agility winner, there isn't any good reason that every dog shouldn't attain the vital basic of obedience and well-socialized behavior.  Dogs like the stimulation of the practice and many enjoy pleasing their owner too.

Adopting and raising a dog in your house should give you great company and great pleasure.  But when you realize that your dog creates an additional problem or constant irritation. don’t blame your him.  If your dog bites your shoes, this isn't the dog’s mistake. It is a common behavior problem in many dogs and it’s for you to decide how to show your pet what exactly is acceptable and what's not.

Teaching your dog to obey your commands is undoubtedly a continuing and time-consuming process depending on the dog, the skills on how to train a dog at home and the ability of understanding of the dog’s character. When you determine to begin teaching dog obedience, ensure that you and your dog have obtained an opportunity to bond.  That’s what I personally think are necessary when training my own dogs.

The principles of dog obedience training

- To raise a nicely respected dog; a cheerful and outgoing dog that is loved and trusted by every family member.
- To build up a solid owner-dog bond based on mutual trust and respect.
- To get the chance to control over your dog in every situation

Important !
- When training your dog, be sure you to use dog’s natural behavior qualities and instincts.
- Don't use physical punishment or cruelty

Training your dog good habits is most beneficial by rewarding good achievement, though it is nonsense to declare that scolding is not necessary.  From the initial age, young puppies learn how to comprehend the word, or even the action implying, “No”.  Their mother teaches them some discipline from young age, and their new mother (you) has to carry that on.  Take typical game of chewing your shoelaces.  Tap on his nose while saying “No” firmly, shows the puppy that there are some things in everyday life to avoid, and that “No” means exactly what it says.  Similarly, most pups start the dominance at the beginning of life.  Nipping whomever they see can quickly develops towards a bite to determine their rank.  Immediate action of another firm “No”- helps you to save a good deal of stress later.  Many dog owners desire to know how to train a dog at home successfully.  The answer is: to have persistence and patience in the training.
