Dogs are also supposed to be followers. Whenever you’re walking your dog for daily exercise, your dog have to be behind you and not in front of you. If you let your dog walk before you then it is unconsciously instilled in his mind that he is the leader, you are supposed to follow him, to adhere to what they wish to do, and this could lead to a behavioral problem with the dog. A dog with behavioral problem is not a calm and healthy dog.
