Andrew McCumber is a founding partner of McCumber Daniels and practices in the firm’s Tampa office.  He is an AV-rated, experienced trial lawyer focusing his practice on nursing home, hospital, and physician malpractice defense litigation, general insurance defense litigation and civil trial practice in state and federal courts including the United States Supreme Court.   He is frequent speaker throughout the U.S. on hospital liability and health care litigation issues.   He serves as Tort Counsel to FHCA and is a member on FHCA’s Legislative Committee.  In 2001, he was the Lead Legislative Draftsman for FHCA on tort reform.   Mr. McCumber serves as Florida’s Representative on the LeadingAge’s National Legal Committee.

Derek M. Daniels is a founding partner of McCumber Daniels and practices from the firm’s Florida and Pennsylvania offices.  He has been admitted to practice law in Florida since 1995 and in Pennsylvania and New Jersey since 2006.  Mr. Daniels’ practice has focused on the areas of medical malpractice, hospital, and nursing home defense litigation since 1998.  Additionally, Mr. Daniels has significant experience defending corporate structures in cases involving attempts to pierce the corporate veil or direct claims against parent companies.  Mr. Daniels is an active member of the Florida Hospital Association and the Florida Society for Healthcare Risk Management and Patient Safety.
