Kansas City Community Portal goes Mobile with KCWiseGuide.com

Sept. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- KCWiseGuide is here to embrace the rapid growth in smart-phone owners in Kansas City by providing all of our online content in an iPhone and Android app for FREE.

It is our goal to provide a comprehensive guide where anyone can visit to find, promote, and share the best Kansas City has to offer. Our dining focus is on small business and family owned restaurants that are unique to Kansas City (http://kcwiseguide.com/locations.php). There is a saying, "You are what you eat", and if we are Kansas City-ans, we should showcase our local eateries.

What we heard:

What we’ve done:

Website, iPhone app, Android app. We give our readership the option of information anywhere.
Our mobile apps are very straight forward. Load -> Events -> Info. No messing around!
Today, Tomorrow, Future. Events are displayed with today’s events first. We follow events from
big concerts to charity runs, and even Farmer’s Markets.
Everything is positive. If the event or dining experience is designed to be a negative experience,
it wouldn’t be listed, or very fun, now would it?
Kansas City is a diverse area. We can’t focus on only rock music, or only art. We have to find the
best local events and highlight them.
Our Dining is not all-inclusive. We will not list fast-foods and corporate chains in our listings.
Why? Because we showcase the unique locations that make KCMO unique. It’s what we can’t
see that makes us special.

Here at KCWiseGuide.com we are working to continue bringing a fast and easy to use information portal for the local community to find great eats, events and fun times, whether at a laptop or on their phones.
