Saint Alphonsus Oktoberfest Hosts Paloma Band

The annual Oktoberfest at Saint Alphonsus Liguori Parish and School is known as the most authentic Oktoberfest in the Northwest Suburbs. Join us for plenty of food, drink, Gemütlichkeit and polka music from the Paloma Band on October 7 at 7 p.m.
Aug. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Those who attend the annual Oktoberfest celebration at Saint Alphonsus Liguori Parish and School say it is the most authentic Oktoberfest celebration in the Northwest Suburbs. There’s good reason for that – the organizers are veteran Oktoberfest attendees.

“Being at the Saint Al’s Oktoberfest is the next best thing to being at Oktoberfest in Munich,” Oktoberfest organizer Darrel Talken says. “What makes it so great is the authentic German food, music and atmosphere of Gemütlichkeit.”

On the menu are brats, potato salad, sauerkraut, desserts and, of course, a beer tent featuring imported German beers along with domestic beers.

The popular Paloma Band will perform traditional Oktoberfest music, and the Danube Schwabians will get everyone dancing. Tickets are $20 per person in advance, $25 at the door.
